Head of Research
Nigel is the Chief Executive Officer of Insight Discovery, the research engine behind FS Executive that has established an award-winning reputation over the past decade as the go-to consultancy for financial services market intelligence and strategic communications in the Middle East.
Nigel has lived in the region since 2001, working at HSBC Asset Management, Newton Fund Managers, BNY Mellon, and Thames River Capital, before setting up Insight Discovery. It has since been voted Best Consultancy Firm (Middle East) by Global Investor, part of Euromoney, every year from 2014-2019, and Best Research Company in 2015 and 2016 by MENA FM’s Fund Services Power 30, an annual guide to the most important figures in fund services.
In 2018 and 2019, Nigel appeared in the International Adviser IA 100 list as one of the most influential executives in the offshore financial services industry.
Nigel is married and has two teenage daughters. He went to Oxford Brookes university and is a freeman of the City of London.
Nick is Managing Director and Co-founder of FS Executive, as well as Founder of Beyond Thinking Ltd. He is an author, entrepreneur, NLP new code trainer, international coach and mentor.
Now based in the UK, Nick has over 30 years’ experience in financial services across the UK, EMEA and Asia. He has successfully recruited and managed talent in financial services, having held many senior roles with a focus on asset management, wealth management and insurance.
Nick recruits into mid and senior level positions across these specialities. More recently, he has also increasingly been working with fintech, insuretech and payments providers.
In addition, Nick has an MBA and is a fellow of the Institute of Sales Management. He is also a mentor with Reach Mentoring in the Middle East and Tara mentoring in the UK – not-for-profit organisations focusing on increasing inclusion diversity and culture within financial services.
Sudha started her career in recruitment and has spent the past seven years developing her research skills at Insight Discovery. She has a deep understanding of researching and mapping candidates, successfully managing numerous complex projects for financial services companies across the Middle East.
Sudha is a fast learner when it comes to research and other tools. She is an expert in various methodologies – across surveying, data mining and analysis – as well as in website design and video production. She also has experience in employee engagement and strategic communications.
Sudha has an MBA in Marketing and HR. During her spare time, she teaches aptitude tests for college students.
Stuart Alexander is founder and CEO of GemCap UK, which commenced business in 2009. Chairman of GemCap Investment Funds Plc and a Director of Gemini Capital Management (Ireland) Limited.
He has over 35 years’ experience in the fund management industry and has previously held senior positions in Sales and Marketing for some of the world’s largest asset managers.
Matthew Lewis is a senior executive Search, Talent & Leadership Advisor and Executive Coaching Professional, who has over 25 year’s global expertise in identifying, assessing and coaching talent and senior level executives. He has hired across 45 countries, including the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific for the worlds’ leading companies. From 2010 to 2020 Matthew was Partner for the Middle East & Africa at Boyden, the world’s oldest and largest private executive search and Leadership Consulting firm, with over 70 offices in 40 countries. He ran the Dubai office and Middle East whilst setting up offices in Egypt and Kenya. Matthew has conducted over 600 global searches and interviewed over 6000 global C-level senior executives. He has also undertaken over 1000+ hours of coaching and assessment of executives, boards and their performance, whilst launching the Boyden Leadership Consulting Practice. Prior to this, from 1994 to 2010, he worked for 3 leading plc executive search companies in the UK, globally across Europe, MEA and Asia.
In 2015 he co-founded ‘N3 Executive’ with Professor Justin Kennedy, a professor of neuroscience and founding member of the Institute of Coaching at McLean, Harvard Medical School Affiliate. ‘N3 Executive’ delivers neuroscience based, academically accredited coaching to executives and corporates across the EMEA region.
Matthew is a member of the AESC (Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants), the ICF (International Coach Federation) and the IOC (Institute of Coaching at McLean, Harvard Medical School Affiliate). Matthew is a committee member and Director of Strategic Partnerships within the British Business Group, Dubai since 2015. He has also been a Steering Committee Member of the Capital Club in DIFC, Dubai since 2018. He is a Coach and Mentor to Reach, the leading Women in Business not-for-profit mentoring organisation in the Middle East. Matthew is a regular speaker at various MBA Schools, including INSEAD and London Business School. He is a regular media contributor and commentator in the MEA region on the topics of talent, succession planning, leadership, regional dynamics, cultural awareness and nationalisation.
Matthew graduated with a BSc (Hons) in the UK and has lived and worked in London, the UK, Hong Kong and, since 2007, across the Middle East and Africa based from Dubai, UAE.
Yvonne is the founder of Cara Executive Search, a specialist Financial Services search consultancy. She has a strong track record in retained executive search in the UK, EMEA and the US, across a range of disciplines within Investment Management, FinTech and the broader Financial Services market.
In addition to Yvonne’s experience in executive recruitment and management consulting, she spent 10 years in industry, on the buy-side within Corporate & Investment Banking.
Yvonne strives to build an in-depth picture of her clients’ strategic talent roadmap, so that she can introduce them to high-calibre individuals who can drive the business forward. She takes pride in being a credible ambassador for the clients she represents.
She earned a BComm degree (Honours) from University College Cork.
